Flip phones have all but gone off by now being replaced by the heavy weights of the smartphones with full displays and virtual keyboards. But that isn’t stopping one of the leaders in smartphones, Samsung, to revitalize the flip phone concept. And they are bringing the flip phone back in a big way. Introducing the Samsung Leader 8, Samsung’s high-end flip phone that we’ve heard of over the last few months.
The flip phone is called the Leader 8 and as per its model number, it is SM-G9298. On first glance, this flip phone looks absolutely gorgeous and I would even consider replacing my smartphone for this flip phone. The Samsung Leader 8 comes with a 4.2 inch AMOLED display with Full HD being powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 821 chip. The phone even has a secondary display on the outside of the phone. Apart from the processor, the Samsung flip phone comes with an amazing 4GB RAM (something I’d thought I’d never see in a flip phone), 64 GB of storage and its chassis is made of durable aluminium.
Now, most of you want to see how the camera is and to even my surprise the camera is actually really good. The Leader 8 has a 12MP rear camera with a f/1.7 aperture and the front has a 5MP camera for those selfies. In terms of battery, the Samsung flip phone has a 2,300 mAh battery and even has wireless charging.
Right now there isn’t any confirmation on if the flip phone will be becoming to the West as it has been confirmed that the Leader 8 will be a China exclusive for now.
